The Oakey Cokey - Mixed media acrylic bronzed on wooden panel . 240 mm high POA Inspired by perceived memories from my childhood. Once a year , around Christmas, my grandfather would invite the family and everyone from the pub and the street to a house party in his little house in Highams Park , London. Uncle John would play the piano and we would all sing and dance, especially the Oakey Cokey, my grandfather leading the way in a joyous fling of hands ,legs and inhibitions. As a child I saw him most weeks during the year and ordinarily he never said much at all.
Ryland Robin (approx 100mm high) - Made as a gift , Ryland the Robin started as a one off project for a friend who wanted a small affordable, yet personal, hand made papier mache sculpture. So far we have made and sold 33 of these , each with a message hidden in an accessible compartment inside the Robins body. Each sculpt is made individually so that no one Robin is the same as another. You can have your own Robin or buy for a friend . £30 plus postage. (Please Note: No orders taken after November 12th 2023 for Christmas delivery)
